Portal vein thrombosis and non-compliance in a high risk patient – a case study

Portal vein thrombosis is a pathological process that refers to the obstruction of blood flow secondary thrombus formation. It may be caused by variety conditions including cancer, cirrhosis, myeloproliferative neoplasms (eg. polycythemia vera) or surgery in area portal splenectomy). Recent studies suggest patients with positive history SARS-CoV-2 infection have higher risk thromboembolic incidents. According current procedures increased should receive anticoagulants. Non-compliance medical recommendations develop disease, directly threatening patient's health and life. We present case report 69 year old woman vera, recent splenectomy, who developed massive two days after discontinuation enoxaparin.
